Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS)

WTS is an international organization dedicated to the professional advancement of women in transportation. Boasting more than 5,000 membersboth men and womenWTS is helping women find opportunity and recognition in the transportation industry.

University of Florida WTS Student Chapter

As the first official WTS Student Chapter, WTS at UF has the goal of establishing a college based student community focusing on advancing women in transportation through professional workshops, networking, and community service. As an active student and young professionals group, we hope to continue serving the community and reaching out to UF students and professionals with an interest in transportation.

Transportation YOU is a hands-on, interactive mentoring program that offers young girls ages 13-18 an introduction to a wide variety of transportation careers.

Go! Explore the World of Transportation  

Go! is a free, online magazine (e-zine) that is primarily for and by young people. Go! provides a forum for learning about transportation and transportation careers in the format that teenagers use the most—electronic—and from a perspective they are most likely to respond to: their peers’. Teachers and administrators in middle schools, high schools, and community colleges can also take advantage of Go!’s various tools. Go! also has a Spanish version, ¡Vamos!.

Fast Foward

Fast Forward was developed for middle school, high school, and community college students and faculty to enhance awareness of careers and other important issues involving the transportation industry. Fast Forward introduces materials related to transportation industry leaders and professionals, programs, projects, and careers. It creates an opportunity for the transportation industry to reach out to students and faculty across the U.S. in an effort to enhance the public's understanding of challenges and solutions surrounding transportation today. In doing so, Fast Forward addresses the need to build and sustain an efficient and effective workforce of knowledgeable transportation professionals.

eGFI is the American Society for Engineering Education’s interactive website for K-12 students and teachers. The interactive website includes daily updated information on engineering careers, role models, students, and lessons and ideas for teachers.
